A place that earns its name

There's a sense of calm that cascades over you, like the waterfalls the region is so well known for, the closer you get to the Promised Land.

Promised Land Retreat sits on one hundred acres of farmland beneath the Dorrigo escarpment, in the Bellinger Valley on the NSW mid-north coast. Three architect-designed timber chalets, each entirely private, each looking out to the mountains. Spa baths, full kitchens, sun-drenched decks. Fresh eggs from our chickens, fruit from the orchard, friendly donkeys in the paddock.

We're fifteen minutes from the village of Bellingen, thirty from the coast, and about as far from the city as you can get while still having good coffee within reach.
